Dehradun, 8 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was handed an enumeration form by Chief Electoral Officer Dr BVRC Purushottam at the Secretariat here, today, on the first day of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in Uttarakhand. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) informed the CM that the Election Commission of India has launched this campaign to purify and update the electoral rolls. Under the programme, all voters in the state will be provided enumeration forms. Within a month, up to 7 July, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will digitise these forms through the BLO App.
It may be recalled that a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign has formally begun in Uttarakhand from today. Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das was also present on the occasion.
