New Delhi, 3 Nov: The 15th Annual Function of the CKS Foundation, held at Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road, on 2 November was a vibrant celebration of creativity, inclusion, and empowerment. The event brought together an audience of distinguished guests, alumni, parents, students, and well-wishers, filling the auditorium to capacity in a moving display of community support and shared purpose.
The evening was graced by Dr Karan Singh, eminent scholar, statesman, and cultural icon, as the Chief Guest. Representatives from the Foundation’s sponsors — Mukesh Kumar (Tata AIA), Amit Kumar (ECGC), and Bhupesh Chandolia (REC) were also present, alongside senior diplomats, bureaucrats, business leaders, and members of the extended CKS family.
The programme featured a rich tapestry of performances by students from the Foundation’s
Education Centres across Uttarakhand and Delhi. Young performers from Bhanaj, Chopta, Pokhari, and Chandranagar brought the essence of Garhwal to life through colourful folk dances and songs, while the Delhi centre presented soulful renditions from Bengal and Mithila, celebrating India’s cultural diversity. The evening also included a solo guitar performance and a spirited staging of “Girgit”, a thought-provoking play adapted from Anton Chekhov, performed by the Foundation’s theatre group.
This year, the Foundation collaborated with the Shaurya Foundation, an organisation working with neurodiverse children — a partnership that reflected CKS Foundation’s enduring belief in inclusion and empowerment. Shaurya’s team added a joyful dimension to the event through a musical medley performance and also set up interactive stalls and a lively selfie booth that drew enthusiastic participation from the audience. In keeping with the spirit of collaboration, hand-painted tote bags and handcrafted lamps made by Shaurya’s children were specially purchased by the CKS Foundation and presented as mementos to the Chief Guest, sponsors, alumni, teachers, and student participants.
The evening concluded with heartfelt applause and reflection — a reminder that the CKS Foundation’s journey, now in its 15th year, continues to nurture dreams, bridge communities, and celebrate the limitless potential of every child.
