PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Badrinath During his visit to Badrinath on Sunday morning the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami sought detailed information about work on the Badrinath master plan from the Chamoli district magistrate Sandeep Tiwari. He also inspected the construction works underway near the Badrinath temple. While checking the works and seeking details, the chief minister directed the district magistrate to ensure both quality of the work and its timely completion. Expressing satisfaction at the arrangments made for the pilgrimage, he directed the district magistrate and the superintendent of police to ensure necessary arrangements for the convenience and safety of the Yatris. Seeking information from Tiwari about preparations for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra, Dhami directed him to ensure that the facilities are ensured soon. He also sought information about the bridge being constructed across the Alaknanda river at Govindghat. The district magistrate was directed to conduct a site inspection of the under-construction bridge and to ensure that the bridge is constructed before start of the pilgrimage with special focus on its quality. Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt and other public representatives were also present in Badrinath on the occasion of its reopening.
