PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) hospital at Kedarnath Dham on Friday. The hospital will be operated by the Swami Vivekananda Health Mission Society. Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that the State government is continuously striving to provide better and faster healthcare facilities to pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham. He added that the hospital, equipped with modern medical facilities, will provide a new impetus to healthcare services in this high Himalayan region with difficult geographical conditions. Dhami added that the hospital will prove extremely beneficial for pilgrims as well as local residents during the Yatra. The CM said that the State government and district administration are giving special priority to health services to ensure a safe, smooth and organized pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham. Adequate arrangements for doctors, paramedical staff, health check-ups, oxygen facilities and emergency medical services have been made along the pilgrimage route, ensuring that pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
