Thursday, 25 July 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Kedarnath Dham on Wednesday where he paid obeisance to the deity. He prayed for the prosperity of the State and welfare of the world by performing Rudrabhishek and special worship of Baba Kedarnath. In his visit the CM also reviewed the ongoing reconstruction works in the Kedarnath Dham. At Kedarnath the CM was welcomed by Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Police Karan Singh Nagnyal, district magistrate of Rudraprayag Saurabh Gaharwar and superintendent of Police Vishakha at the helipad. He also met the Teerth Purohits and chief priest of Kedarnath Dham Shiv Shankar Ling. Dhami discussed the ongoing construction works with the Teerth Purohits and sought their suggestions. While reviewing the reconstruction works, he directed the authorities to expedite the construction and reconstruction works. He said that all the works should be completed within the stipulated time period and special emphasis should be on maintaining the quality of the construction works. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Yogendra Singh, executive officer in charge RC Tiwari, former BJP District President Dinesh Uniyal, President of Kedar Sabha Rajkumar Tiwari, Vinod Shukla, Kishan Bagwadi, Umesh Posti, Keshav Tiwari, Dinesh Bagwadi and others were present on the occasion of the visit of the CM. Interacting with the mediaperons in Dehradun on Wednesday, the CM said that the Congress party has always opposed Sanatan dharma and the Yatra of the party is a farce. He said that the Congress party and its allies have always abused the Sanatan dharma and have equated it with diseases such as malaria and dengue. The CM said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special affinity towards Uttarakhand and he has visited Kedarnath dhams many times. He said that the State government is committed to promoting Dhams and keeping their sanctity intact.
