PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun  Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has averred that the State government will not rest until the copying mafia is uprooted completely from Uttarakhand. He made this proclamation while addressing the Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue programme at his residence on Wednesday. He said that the country’s strictest anti-copying law was implemented in the State. Since the law’s implementation, over 100 copying mafias have been jailed. The CM said more than 25,000 youth have successfully secured government jobs in the last four and a half years.  “Some people are unhappy with the increasing opportunities available to youngsters in government jobs so they are conspiring to leak papers in an organized manner. Recently, an unsuccessful attempt was made to leak papers and spread chaos in the State. The government will not rest until the copying mafia is uprooted,’’ he said. The CM said that the country’s most prestigious corporate houses are contributing to important areas such as quality education, health, sanitation, and environmental protection in Uttarakhand under their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He said that after successful hosting of the Global Investors Summit in 2023, investment proposals worth more than Rs one lakh crore have been implemented. The CM claimed that the State government is continuously working to improve the quality of the education system. “Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy -2020. NCERT textbooks have been made mandatory in all government schools for quality education. Ours is the first state in the country to develop a state curriculum framework for primary education,’’ he said. The CM virtually inaugurated a digital classroom at the primary school in CM Model Village Sarkot on the occasion. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with the Axis Bank Group for the digitization of 24 schools in the state and with Toyota for conducting CSR in the areas of environmental protection, education, health, and community empowerment.
