
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that Uttarakhand is undergoing significant efforts to revive its cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from landmark projects such as the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya after 500 years and the Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain. He said this while visiting the ancient Shiva temple in Lakhamandal in the Jaunsar region of Dehradun district on Monday. During his visit, the CM performed ritual worship at the temple and prayed for peace, prosperity and happiness for the people of the State. At that time, position holder and programme coordinator Geeta Ram Gaur presented a 16-point memorandum of demands to the CM concerning various local issues in the area. Dhami assured that all these demands would be thoroughly examined and that positive action would be taken. While addressing a gathering on the occasion, Dhami highlighted that the State government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is implementing several historic and decisive steps. He emphasised that the country’s strictest anti-cheating law has been enacted in the State. Dhami said that over 26,000 youth have been selected for government jobs in the past four and a half years, demonstrating complete transparency and honesty. He said that the government has taken a firm stand against activities such as land Jihad, love Jihad and forced religious conversions. The State government is committed to protecting Uttarakhand’s demographics and cultural values. He also put special emphasis on cultural renaissance, stating that a master plan worth Rs 120 crore is being developed for the famous Hanol temple in the region, which aims to preserve and enhance this spiritual and historical site. CM that the State government is dedicated to the all-round development of Uttarakhand.
