PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the development works and implementation of his announcements for the assembly segments of the Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency at the State secretariat on Friday.   In the meeting, the CM directed that a detailed plan should be made for a permanent solution to the problem of water logging in Haridwar. He said that a survey in this regard should be conducted and a proposal should be made. He directed that a DPR should be prepared within a month for Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh and the process of developing Sanjay Lake as a tourist destination should be expedited.  Dhami also directed the officers to prepare a plan for developing alternate routes so that people do not face any problem in commuting and other important works during the Kanwad Yatra. He said that the drainage system should be strengthened in urban areas. Special attention should be paid to the construction and beautification of parks.  The CM directed the officials to expedite the construction work after the monsoon.  He said that a campaign should be launched to make the roads free from potholes after the end of the Monsoon.  The Chief Minister directed that a nodal officer should be appointed for AIIMS Rishikesh and the AIIMS satellite centre to be built in Kichha. He added that two villages in each district should be developed as model villages.  During the meeting, the MLAs raised issues of waterlogging, parking and beautification work, drainage and sewerage problems, construction of drains, traffic management and other problems. The CM directed the officials to resolve the problems raised by the MLAs. He said that the officers should constantly communicate with the MLAs to solve the public problems. “The works marked as top priorities by the MLAs should be expedited. If there is any problem in any work, then the secretary and head of department should talk to the MLAs of the concerned area and solve the problem,’’ he said.  MLA Vinod Chamoli, Premchand Aggarwal, Madan Kaushik, Brij Bhushan Gairola and Pradeep Batra, chief secretary  Anand Bardhan, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, L Fanai, R Meenakshi Sundaram and other officers attended the meeting.
