As part of the campaign, all branches across the state are actively reaching out to people in both rural and urban areas. Bank officials and staff are conducting direct interactions in gram panchayats, educational institutions, trade organisations and government offices, providing detailed information about key deposit schemes such as Fixed Deposit, Recurring Deposit, Kisan Saving Account, Mahila Savings Scheme and Senior Citizen Deposit Scheme.
Additionally, the bank is actively promoting Central and State Government financial inclusion schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana to ensure that more citizens can benefit from these initiatives.
Managing Director Pradeep Mehrotra informed that the campaign is being regularly monitored at the bank headquarters. All district cooperative banks have been instructed to submit daily progress reports to ensure the campaign’s impact is visible at the grassroots level.
He stated, “The objective of the State Cooperative Bank is not merely to increase deposits, but to strengthen public trust and financial empowerment.”
Special counters have been set up in branches across the state where citizens are provided both scheme details and instant account opening facilities. Financial literacy camps are being organised in rural areas to educate people about the benefits of savings, secure investment options and the advantages of joining the cooperative movement.
Through this campaign, Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank has revitalised the core mantra of cooperation:
“From Cooperation to Prosperity”
The bank management has appealed to all citizens, institutions and government offices to actively participate in the Nikshep Abhiyan and contribute to strengthening the cooperative economy of the state.
