Dehradun, 1 Dec: BJP’s State Media In charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today accused the Congress party of playing the Constitution card as a pretext to cover its fear of losing political relevance. He asserted that Congress party, which frequently claims the Constitution is under threat, is actually troubled by its diminishing influence. Chauhan alleged that Congress spreads baseless claims about the Constitution’s danger to safeguard its survival. He criticised the party’s contradictory stance, accusing others of voter fraud while opposing the Election Service Registry (ESR), reflecting its double standards.
Chauhan emphasised that the Constitution is the nation’s soul and cannot be changed drastically, a view supported by former Chief Justices and numerous experts. He alleged that Congress is lacking in genuine issues and it tries to create fear of constitutional institutions to stay relevant. He further claimed that Congress’s conflicting approach on voting aims to protect infiltrators within its cadre. Chauhan also attributed Congress’s behaviour to pending cases against its leaders and said that public awareness will lead to the party paying the price in upcoming elections.
