Dehradun 18 Dec: Lakshmi Mishra, wife of the late senior journalist Pankaj Mishra, along with his brother Arvind Mishra, today called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to seek justice the deceased, who had died under mysterious circumstances allegedly after being assaulted by another journalist. During the meeting, the family members apprised the CM of the sequence of events and circumstances surrounding the demise of the veteran journalist.
Expressing his deep condolences to the bereaved family members, Dhami assured them that the state government stands firmly with the bereaved family in this hour of profound grief. He also assured the Mishra family of all possible cooperation and claimed that the action in accordance with the law will be ensured in this matter and that no negligence will be tolerated at any level towards ensuring fair investigation and justice in this case.
The CM also prayed to the God to grant peace to the departed soul and to provide the bereaved family with the strength to bear this immense loss. It may also be recalled that, late last evening, two accused in the case including the main accused Amit Sehgal were finally arrested and today presented before the court.
