
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun In an attempt to give impetus to planned development of cities in the State, the Pushkar Singh Dhami cabinet in its meeting held on Wednesday endorsed the Uttarakhand Town Planning Scheme (implementation) regulation- 2025 and Uttarakhand Land Pooling Scheme (implementation) regulation-2025. The new regulation will help the developing townships having integrated road networks and houses for the people of all income groups by regularising various existing norms. It will also help in removing obstacles in the way of land acquisition for planned development of the cities. Secretary, Shailesh Bagauli said that approval for Uttarakhand Jan Vishwas (amendment of clauses) ordinance -2025 was also given by the State cabinet on the day. The ordinance aims to remove petty crimes from the ambit of serious offence and replace jail sentences with penalties. In another important decision, the cabinet approved the proposal to increase the compensation for the land under the transmission lines and construction of towers in the State. The compensation of the land under the tower and that coming within a perimeter of one meter under the transmission line will now double the circle rate. In an important decision to promote construction of green buildings in the State, the cabinet approved the proposal to provide an additional floor area ratio (FAR) on the construction of green buildings. The benefit of additional FAR will also be given in the construction of Pahadi architecture in the mountainous areas and traditional style houses in the plain area of the State. It was also decided that the construction of resorts on agricultural land can be done without land use change. The cabinet also approved the proposal to permanently handover the Naini-Saini airport of Pithoragarh to Airport Authority of India (AAI) for operation of commercial and civil flights, infrastructure development, construction, modernisation, maintenance and management. A memorandum in this regard will be inked between the State government and AAI soon. The cabinet also endorsed the proposal to reduce the grant in silage from existing 75 per cent to 60 per cent under the ongoing Mukhyamantri Gasyari Kalyan Yojana. The secretary informed that the decision has been taken in view of the increased demand of the silage and to ensure that the cattle owners are benefitted from the supplies of Silage. In another decision, the cabinet approved the plan to waive of GST on the construction work involving proposed four lane Rispana- Bindal elevated road project. The cabinet also decided to rename the Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun to the Institute of Perfumery and Aromatic Research (IPAR).
