Wednesday, 21 February 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN The cabinet of Uttarakhand government led by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid obeisance at Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday. The CM and his cabinet colleagues and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal arrived at Maharishi Valmiki international airport in Ayodhya on a special plane on the day.  In the temple, the CM and his cabinet offered prayers in the sanctum sanctorum. After paying obeisance to Lord Ram, a visibly moved Dhami said that after having Darshan of Lord Ram his heart is brimming with devotion and joy. He said that Ramlalla had to live in a tent for many years but now he is seated in a divine and grand temple which makes everyone happy and overwhelmed with emotions.  The CM said that the Uttarakhand government has made preparations to build a state guesthouse for the people of the State in Ayodhya. He said that the state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 32 crore for the purchase of land to build the state guesthouse. The guest house will be built in an area of 4,700 square metres.  Dhami said that the pilgrims of the State coming from Uttarakhand to Ayodhya for Darshan of Lord Ram will be provided with boarding and lodging facilities in this state guest house.  It is pertinent to mention here that on January 22, the day when the consecration ceremony of Ram temple was held in Ayodhya, CM Dhami had resolved to visit the temple with his cabinet. In the recently concluded special session of Uttarakhand assembly in which the bill on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and granting 10 per cent horizontal reservation to the statehood activists were passed a resolution thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the long awaited consecration ceremony of Lord Ram was also passed. Apart from CM Dhami, his cabinet colleagues Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Aggarwal, Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya and  Rajya Sabha MP Naresh  Bansal offered prayers in Ayodhya.
