Dhami pays tribute on Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th Martyrdom Day

Dehradun, 25 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in a programme organised at the Race Course Gurdwara to mark the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. On this occasion, the CM bowed his head at the Gurdwara Sahib and also listened to the Shabad Kirtan, joining the congregation in solemn remembrance.
Following the prayers, he met the office bearers of the Gurdwara Sahib Race Course, who honoured him with a memento. He also participated in the Langar Seva, serving alongside the Sangat in a gesture of humility and devotion.
Paying heartfelt tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur, Dhami asserted that the revered Guru holds a unique place among those who have sacrificed their lives for the protection of religion, human values, and principles. He emphasised that Guru Tegh Bahadur gave the message of love, unity, and brotherhood to the people, and his supreme sacrifice continues to inspire mutual harmony and goodwill.
Addressing those present, Dhami reminded that the Govindghat–Hemkund Sahib Ropeway is under construction to ease the journey for Sikh pilgrims visiting Hemkund Sahib. He added that all benefits meant for minority educational institutions are being extended to the Sikh community as part of the government’s commitment to inclusivity.
Those present on the occasion included President of the Gurdwara Sahib Management Committee, Balbir Singh Sahni, Secretary Rajinder Pal Singh Chandok, and BJP Mahanagar President Siddharth Agarwal, who joined the congregation in paying homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
