Dhami pays tribute to Indramani Badoni on birth anniversary

Dehradun, 24 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today paid floral tributes before the portrait of legendary statehood activist Indramani Badoni, on the occasion of his birth anniversary, at the CM’s official residence here. It may be recalled that Badoni is revered as the Gandhi of Uttarakhand. In remembrance of Badoni’s invaluable contribution to the statehood movement, Dhami observed that Badoni’s entire life was devoted to struggle, sacrifice, and public service. He emphasised that Badoni provided crucial direction and immense popular strength to the Uttarakhand statehood movement, which ultimately led to the creation of the state.
Dhami further noted that Badoni’s thoughts, determination, and selfless spirit of service towards the interests of Uttarakhand continue to inspire people even today. He asserted that the state government is consistently working to make Uttarakhand one of the leading states in the country by adhering to the ideals and vision laid down by Badoni.
