DEHRADUN, 27 Dec: Pushkar Singh Dhami, while participating in a programme organised at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Saturday, transferred a total amount of Rs 12.898 crore directly into the bank accounts of 4,224 beneficiary workers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The funds were disbursed under various schemes of the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Alongside the financial aid, he inaugurated a special arrangement across 191 Common Service Centres in the state to assist workers, ensuring that information related to schemes, registration processes, and essential services is easily accessible to the labour force.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dhami emphasised that the government is committed to resolving every grievance faced by workers. He noted that welfare schemes are being implemented to provide financial security, social protection, and dignity to workers and their dependents. He further mentioned that the government has undertaken the task of linking workers and their families with skill development through training programmes aimed at enhancing livelihoods.
Dhami observed that the workers are the strongest foundation of the state’s development and their contribution to the infrastructure building remains incomparable. He stated that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure a secure future for those who play a pivotal role in progress. He explained that the special arrangements introduced at 191 Common Service Centres (CSCs) mean that the workers will no longer need repeated visits to government offices, as registration, renewal, and scheme-related assistance can now be accessed at a single point across block, tehsil, and village levels.
The CM also mentioned that the Workers’ Welfare Board has successfully transferred Rs 51 crore into the accounts of the workers and their families over the last six months. An integrated system at the development block level for registration, renewal, and benefit applications had already been initiated earlier by the board.

He confirmed that an amount of Rs 12.898 crores has beeb transferred via DBT to 4,224 workers and added that the board will continue to function in alignment with the vision of simplification, solution, resolution, and satisfaction.
