
my uttarakhand news BureauDehradun, 9 Mar: A domestic violence case has been registered against Suyash Agrawal, the owner of Silver City Mall located on Rajpur Road here, following a complaint lodged with the police. The complaint has been filed on behalf of his wife.According to the complaint, Agrawal allegedly subjected his wife to physical assault and mental harassment. The victim approached the police station and formally recorded her statement, leading to the registration of the case. Suyash Agrawal had also approached the Cyber Police Station with a video clipping claiming that a video is currently viral on social media which depicts him beating his wife. Agrawal had claimed that the video was manipulated and had been circulated in order to tarnish his and the family’s image. He had also added that the video had been sent to him for his information by his friend Ankur Aggarwal and another friend had also seen the video on social media. The case is being investigated by Inspector Rakesh Shah.As part of the investigation, the video clipping submitted by the complainant has been forensically examined. Experts have verified its authenticity, and the wife has also testified that the footage is true and accurate.The Police officials confirmed that an FIR has been filed under relevant provisions of the law. The investigation is presently underway, and that the police officers are conducting inquiry into the complaint and gathering evidence, besides recording statements from both parties. The authorities have assured that due process will be followed and that strict legal action will be taken if the allegations are substantiated.The incident has drawn considerable public attention, given Agrawal’s prominence in the city’s commercial and social circles. Officials reiterated that the case will be pursued in accordance with legal procedure, and further developments will be communicated once the inquiry progresses.
