Dehradun, 1 Dec: The National Literary Honours Ceremony–2025, hosted by the internationally renowned literary and cultural organisation Kadambari, took place with great success at the Shaheed Smarak Sabha Griha in Jabalpur. The event was conducted by eminent author Sahitya Shiromani Acharya Bhagwat Dubey and the institution’s General Secretary, Rajesh Pathak ‘Praveen’.
The ceremony brought together acclaimed poets, lyricists, storytellers, essayists, critics and reviewers from India and abroad, creating a vibrant literary atmosphere. Among the distinguished awardees, Dehradun-based writer Tapas Chakraborty was honoured with the prestigious ‘Sahitya Saraswati Samman’ for his remarkable contributions to travelogue writing. He received a citation, a flower garland, a pearl mala, a crystal Shivling, rudraksha, and a shawl as symbols of this special recognition.
Along with his literary pursuits, Chakraborty currently serves as an Assistant Commissioner in Central GST, yet continues to follow his passion for writing with full dedication. So far, he has published five highly acclaimed travelogues, all of which have received immense appreciation from readers.
The programme was attended by Kadambari’s founder and Sahitya Shiromani Acharya Bhagwat Dubey, former Vice-Chancellor of multiple universities Shri Krishna Kumar Pandey, senior litterateur Dr Om Neerav, General Secretary Rajesh Pathak ‘Praveen’, and several other respected literary figures. The evening also featured colourful cultural performances by local artists, adding charm and liveliness to the celebration.
