Dehradun, 31 Dec: Doon University held a formal review meeting in Dehradun on the final day of the year today to assess its annual progress and outline future plans. Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Surekha Dangwal presided over the session in the conference hall, where she reviewed the outgoing year’s activities with the university officials, the faculty members and the staff.
On this occasion, she expressed gratitude to the entire university community for collective efforts in driving the institution’s growth and development. Extending New Year greetings to the officers and the teachers, Dangwal reaffirmed the university’s unwavering commitment to the uplift of both the institution and Uttarakhand. She emphasised that, in the coming year, Doon University aims to establish new benchmarks in research and academic studies.
The meeting also featured a formal farewell to Assistant Professor Vikas Sharma from the Department of Physics. The university wished him success in his future endeavours as it relieved him of his duties at the end of his tenure. Sharma had been actively engaged in research and teaching advanced subjects such as quantum mechanics and artificial intelligence in physics.
On this occasion, Registrar Durgesh Dimri, Prof HC Purohit, Prof Harsh Dobhal, Dr Vijay Sridhar, Dr Himani Sharma, Dr Charu Dwivedi, Dr Khushboo, Abshar Abbasi, Assistant Registrar Devendu Rawat and Sachin Panwar, along with several other university employees, were present.
