PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday heard the problems of people from various regions of the State at his residence. The citizens raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, health, education, revenue, pensions, employment, financial assistance, and various regional and personal problems with the CM. Dhami directed the officials concerned to ensure the prompt disposal of the complaints received from the citizens. He said that it is not appropriate to unnecessarily delay problems that can be resolved at the district or departmental level at the government level. Officials should ensure that public problems are resolved on a priority basis at their level. The CM said that resolving public grievances is the top priority for the State government. It is the responsibility of officials at every level of governance and administration to listen to people’s problems with sensitivity and resolve them as quickly as possible, as per the rules. To ensure that the public does not have to repeatedly visit government offices for their work, the system should be made more effective. He said that to resolve public grievances, the state government is making programs like CM Helpline-1905, public hearing, and “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar” effective. Through “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar,” the government and administration are reaching out to the public to resolve their problems and connect eligible people with various public welfare schemes and services. Previously organised camps have also resolved complaints related to various departments and provided benefits to the people. The CM said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which began on September 17, is being organised in the State till October 17. Under the campaign, various programmes related to service, public participation, dialogue and innovation are being organised. Under the “Seva Setu Abhiyan,” health and multipurpose camps will also be organised, along with the “Government of the People, Doorstep of the People” camps, through which Central and State government schemes and services will be made available to the public.Dhami directed officials to take every case received during public hearings seriously. Regular monitoring of the resolution of complaints should be conducted, and it should be ensured that the resolution is not limited to mere paperwork, but rather that the person concerned receives real relief. He said that better coordination between the government, district administration, and departments should make public problem resolution more effective. Working with sensitivity and accountability in matters of public interest should ensure timely services are provided to the people.
