Dehradun, 4 Jan: A free health camp was organised at MS Galaxy Multispecialty Hospital, here, today. The camp was jointly organised by the hospital’s founder, Dr Mahesh Kudiyal, and Dr Sumita Prabhakar. A total of 324 patients from various areas of Dehradun participated in the camp and availed themselves of the healthcare services.
During the camp, patients were provided free medical consultations along with medicines and diagnostic services at concessional rates. Facilities such as CT scan, X-ray, and pathology investigations were also made available, bringing relief to a large number of people.
The camp was inaugurated by local MLA Vinod Chamoli. In his address, he said that such public welfare programmes, especially in the field of healthcare, should be organised regularly. He appreciated the efforts of the organisers for providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to the general public.

On this occasion, councillors from different areas, including Ramesh Alok Kumar and Ruchi Rawat, were present as special guests.
Specialist doctors from MS Galaxy Hospital provided their services during the camp. These included Dr Mahesh Kudiyal (Neurosurgery), Dr Sumita Prabhakar (Gynaecology), Dr Nandini Dwivedi (Radiology consultation), Dr Deepak Purohit (Gastroenterology), Dr Rohan Ratra (Orthopaedics), Dr Abhinav Naithani (General Medicine), Dr Rohit Arora (General Surgery), and Dr Nikhilesh Mathur (Paediatrics). In addition, Dr Shashendra Saxena, Dr Praveen Jindal, and Dr Charitesh Gupta also extended their support during the camp.
Along with free consultations, patients benefited from medicines and diagnostic services. Some special tests were provided completely free of cost, including BMD, NCS, and PFT. Many patients described the initiative as highly beneficial and expressed hope that such camps would be organised in the future as well.
On the occasion, Dr Mahesh Kudiyal stated that the hospital’s objective is not limited to treatment alone, but also to ensure better healthcare services reach every section of society. He emphasised that such camps help needy people receive timely investigations and proper guidance.
Dr Sumita Prabhakar, co-founder of the hospital, said that preventive healthcare is one of today’s greatest needs. She explained that the aim of the camp was to increase health awareness and identify diseases at an early stage so that timely treatment can be provided. She also stated that the hospital is now offering 24×7 emergency and trauma services, which are proving beneficial to patients.
The camp concluded with satisfaction and positive feedback, and the organisers pledged to continue holding such free health camps in the future.
Paramedical staff from CIMS, NCC cadets, and students from the physiotherapy and nursing departments actively supported the camp and gained insight into the functioning of various departments. On this occasion, Durgesh Kudiyal, Ayushman, Sanjay Pundir, along with the entire hospital staff and volunteers, were present and played an active role in making the camp a success.
