Dehradun, 23 Dec: On 22 December, the Golden Key Division of the Indian Army commemorated its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years since its raising in 1965. The occasion celebrated six decades of steadfast service, operational commitment and dedication to the Nation.
On the occasion, Major General Naveen Mahajan, SM, General Officer Commanding, Golden Key Division, congratulated all ranks, veterans and families on the Formation’s illustrious journey.
Since its raising, the Division has participated in major operations and commitments, including the 1965 and 1971 Wars, as well as Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka. Over the years, the Formation has also participated in important military exercises, contributing to operational preparedness.
The Golden Key Division has remained actively engaged in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), including relief operations during the Uttarkashi and Dharali disasters, along with flood relief efforts. The Formation has also consistently undertaken adventure and outreach activities, while maintaining regular engagement with Veterans and Ex-Servicemen.
Today, the Golden Key Division stands well-prepared, well-equipped and ever ready to meet future challenges, carrying forward its legacy with unwavering resolve.
