Gov extends New Year Greetings to People of the State

Dehradun, 31 Dec: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of New Year 2026. In his message, he wished for the continued development of the state along with good health, happiness, peace, and prosperity for all citizens. He said that everyone should contribute collectively to the development of “Devbhoomi” Uttarakhand with new thinking, renewed energy, and a positive spirit.
The Governor said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a new transformative force across all sectors today. The use of AI in areas such as education, health, agriculture, industry, administration, and disaster management can make work simpler, faster, and more effective. He emphasised that the correct and responsible use of AI will play a significant role in the balanced development of the state. The Governor appealed to the youth to embrace technology and innovation and take Uttarakhand to new heights of progress.
The Governor noted that the year 2025 has been an important one for Uttarakhand in terms of development and collective efforts. He said that the true strength of Devbhoomi lies in its people—especially the youth, women, farmers, and students—who are moving forward with confidence.
The Governor stated that this is the time for everyone to work together in unity to achieve the goals of a “Developed Uttarakhand” and a “Developed India”. He expressed confidence that with the hard work and cooperation of the people, Uttarakhand will move towards a bright and golden future.
