Granny’s Den Resort pays heartfelt tribute to martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas

Dehradun, 26 Jul: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn and emotional ceremony dedicated to the indomitable valour, supreme sacrifice, and patriotism of the brave sons of Mother India was organised at Granny’s Den Resort, here, today. The objective of the ceremony was to pay tribute to the immortal martyrs of the Kargil War, to salute their valour, and to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and military honour in the new generation.
The Chief Guest was Colonel Rupesh Pradhan, a recipient of the Vir Chakra, while the special guest was Brigadier Sarvesh Dutt Dangwal (Retd). Several senior military officers, veterans, serving military officers, dignitaries, and distinguished guests from various fields were also present on the occasion.
The most emotional and inspiring moment of the programme was when the Veer Naris were honoured. The audience stood and applauded these brave women, who displayed remarkable courage, perseverance, and dedication to the nation even after the supreme sacrifice of their spouses.
School children filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour with their soulful renditions of “Vande Mataram” and the National Anthem. Their performances moved everyone present and conveyed the message that the courage of our brave soldiers will always be a source of inspiration for generations to come.
All guests paid tribute to the immortal martyrs who laid down their lives in the Kargil War, remembering their unparalleled bravery and sacrifice. They stated that the Kargil victory is not merely a military success, but an immortal symbol of the indomitable courage, unwavering resolve, and dedication to the nation of India’s soldiers.
On this occasion, the management of Granny’s Den Resort expressed their immense pride and privilege in hosting this event in honour of the country’s brave soldiers and their families.
The women honoured today included Lakshmi Devi, Sahaspur; Brijbalala, Sahaspur; Shashi Devi, Sahaspur; Jyoti, Doiwala; Vineeta Rawat, Doiwala; Veera Devi, Raipur; Prabhadevi, Raipur; Shanti Devi, Raipur; and Vimal from Sahaspur.
