Graphic Era pays tribute to Martyr Lt Beereshwar Goswami

Dehradun, 8 June: Graphic Era paid tribute to its alumnus, Martyr Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami, who laid down his life in the service of the nation. A condolence meeting was organised at the university to honour his extraordinary courage and supreme sacrifice.

Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami was a student of the BA English (Honours) batch of 2019–22 at Graphic Era Deemed University. He made the ultimate sacrifice while performing operational duties under challenging conditions in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. His life and sacrifice serve as a source of inspiration for students. His journey from being a university student to becoming an Army officer and ultimately sacrificing his life for the nation inspires the younger generation to embrace the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism.
During the condolence meeting, university officials, faculty members, students, and staff paid their heartfelt tributes to the martyr. The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Santosh S Saraf, shared details about Lieutenant Goswami’s martyrdom. All present observed a two minutes’ silence in his memory and paid homage to his unwavering dedication to duty, exceptional bravery, and selfless service to the nation.
The gathering was attended by Registrar Dr Naresh Kumar Sharma, Dean of International Affairs Dr DR Gangodkar, along with other faculty members, students, and staff.
