
PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun A helicopter belonging to the air ambulance service of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)- Rishikesh crash-landed in Kedarnath Dham of Rudraprayag district on Saturday. All the passengers on board the helicopter escaped unhurt. The nodal officer, Heli ambulance service AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr Madhur Uniyal said that the helicopter of the Sanjeevni Heli ambulance service of the institute took off from the AIIMS Rishikesh at 11.05 am on Saturday. The sortie was to provide medical help to a 53 year old person suffering from severe respiratory distress at the Kedarnath shrine. Dr Uniyal said that the helicopter of the Pinnacle Aviation company arrived at Kedarnath at 11.50 am and during the landing the touchdown occurred before the helipad. He said that a doctor of the emergency medicine department, Pilot and a nursing assistant were on board the helicopter and all of them are safe. It is the second mishap involving helicopters engaged in Char Dham Yatra in the last five days. On May 12, a helicopter skidded on the Badrinath helipad and collided with a vehicle of the aviation company.
