PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun Four passengers of a helicopter had a miraculous escape when it skidded on the helipad during a take-off from Badrinath helipad on Monday. The helicopter belonging to Thambi Aviation was ferrying passengers from Badrinath Dham to Phata. As per an eyewitness’ account, the pilot of the helicopter lost control when it was taking off from Badrinath helipad. The helicopter skidded on the ground during the take-off and its blades collided with a vehicle of the aviation company.  The incident occurred at around 10.30 am.  The in -charge of the Badrinath police station, Navneet Bhandari said that all the passengers of the helicopter are safe. More than 1.15 lakh pilgrims have so far visited the Badrinath Dham this year.
