The portals of Hemkund Sahib will close on October 10 this year. Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, Chairman of the Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, announced that the Hemkund Yatra 2026 would formally conclude on that date. He urged all devotees to complete their visit before the scheduled closing date. The pilgrimage to Hemkund Sahib commenced on May 23 this year with traditional rituals. Since the opening of the portals, over 238,000 devotees from across the country and abroad have visited the holy shrine. Enthusiasm among the pilgrims remained high throughout the season. Flowers Bloom in Hemkund Valley; Brahma Kamal Enhances Natural Beauty Currently, the Hemkund Valley is abloom with flowers. Varieties typically found in the ‘Valley of Flowers’ are blooming here in all their splendor. Additionally, the rare Brahma Kamal—found in high-altitude Himalayan regions—is also in bloom. The Trust has encouraged devotees to make the most of this delightful and captivating natural scenery and to enjoy the magnificent beauty of nature. Highest Gurudwara in the World Hemkund Sahib holds a place of immense sanctity and importance in the Sikh tradition. The gurudwara is situated at an altitude of over 15,000 feet above sea level, nestled amidst seven snow-capped peaks and a pristine glacial lake. The Trust Chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Uttarakhand government, district administration, police, security forces, the Army, sevadars (volunteers), and the entire Sangat (congregation) for their active cooperation.
