High Power Committee approves Rs 187.11 crores annual Action Plan

Dehradun, 6 Mar: A meeting of the High Power Committee (HPC) of the Uttarakhand Climate Resilient Rainfed Farming Project (UCRRFP) was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary (CS) Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, the committee reviewed the latest physical and financial progress of the project and approved the annual action plan for the financial year 2026–27 amounting to Rs 187.11 crores.
During the fourth meeting of the HPC, approval was also granted to the revised annual action plan for the financial year 2025–26. The committee also approved the revised annual action plan of Rs 62.19 crore for the financial year 2025–26. Along with this, the Project Operations Manual prepared for the effective implementation of the project, the Financial Management System Manual, as well as various formats and guideline booklets were also approved.
The CS also directed that keeping in view the objectives of the project, plans should be prepared at the village level in accordance with local requirements so that the maximum benefit of the project can reach the rural communities. He stressed that, in view of the challenges posed by climate change, it is essential to make rainfed agriculture more capable and sustainable through the project.
Among those present at the meeting were Secretary and Chief Project Director Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary C Ravishankar, Project Director Himanshu Khurana, Additional Secretary Apoorva Pandey, Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sara Kahkashan Naseem, Joint Director Dr AK Dimri, Chief Finance Officer Deepak Bhatt, Deputy Director Dr SK Upadhyay, Dr DS Rawat and Dr Siddharth Srivastava, along with other senior officials.
