Hilton School holds elocution contest on the theme ‘Where Nature Smiles’

DEHRADUN, 14 Feb: Hilton’s School organized an English Elocution Competition on Saturday here on the inspiring theme “Where Nature Smiles.” The event aimed to nurture public speaking skills while encouraging students to express their thoughts on the beauty, harmony, and the healing power of Nature.

The elocution contest was organized for students of Classes 1 to 5 and was conducted in two categories: Group Elocution and Individual Recitals. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various classes. Participants eloquently recited poems highlighting the serenity of nature, the importance of environmental conservation, and humanity’s deep connection with the natural world. The confidence, clarity, and expression displayed by the young speakers was truly commendable.

The event proved to be an enriching and memorable experience, reinforcing the message that Nature truly smiles when we cherish and protect it. The programme concluded with an address by Principal David J Hilton, who emphasized the significance of Nature being the best teacher and developing effective communication skills. His motivating words inspired the students to express themselves with confidence and responsibility.

The panel of judges, included Vidushi Nautiyal and Pooja Sharma, who evaluated the participants on pronunciation, voice modulation, content, and overall presentation.

The competition concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of certificates and prizes. The judges appreciated the sincere efforts of all participants and encouraged them to continue honing their articularory abilities and skills.
