Honorarium released for ASHAs & facilitators: Subodh Uniyal

Dehradun, 11 Sep: Health Minister Subodh Uniyal today informed media that the National Health Mission under the Health Department of Uttarakhand has released the monthly honorarium for ASHAs and ASHA facilitators across all the development blocks for the financial year 2026-27. He added that ASHAs will receive Rs 3,300 per month, while ASHA facilitators will be paid Rs 2,000 per month as fixed honorarium. In addition, programme-specific incentives are also provided from time to time for effective implementation of national health programmes such as the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, routine immunisation, RBSK, RKSK, maternal health and institutional deliveries, child health and other schemes.
The department has sanctioned a total of Rs 37.76 crores for the current financial year, including Rs 36.64 crores for the ASHAs and Rs 1.11 crores for the facilitators. According to Uniyal, the funds were released to districts yesterday for disbursement block-wise into respective accounts.
Uniyal also observed that the ASHAs are a vital link in the health system and their role in delivering services to the last person in rural and remote areas is invaluable. He emphasised that the state government is committed towards supporting the interests of ASHAs and the facilitators and towards recognising their contribution in strengthening health programmes.
