Tehri, 28 Dec: Under the district tour programme, Deepak Kumar, Secretary, Sanskrit Education, Census and Programme Implementation Department, Government of Uttarakhand, conducted an inspection of the Government Sanskrit Colleges at Chamba and New Tehri in Tehri district.

After the inspection, the Secretary interacted in detail with the students and obtained their introductions. During the interaction, he informed them about the initiatives being undertaken in the field of Sanskrit education. He further stated that 108 Sanskrit schools and colleges are currently operational in Uttarakhand.
Permission has been granted to introduce Science and Mathematics at the secondary level, which will enable students of Sanskrit schools to appear in medical and engineering entrance examinations in the future. He advised students to learn a foreign language along with Sanskrit and Vedic Mathematics.
