Justice Manoj Gupta takes oath as Chief Justice of U’khand High Court

DEHRADUN, 10 Jan: Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh on Saturday administered the oath of office to Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, the newly appointed Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, at Lok Bhawan here. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan read out the warrant of appointment issued by the President of India, formally designating Gupta as Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand.


Among those present on the occasion were Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court  Justice Arun Bhansali, Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court Justice Ashish Naithani, First Lady Gurmit Kaur, Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan, Khajan Das, Pradeep Batra and Savita Kapoor, DGP Deepam Seth, Registrar General of the Nainital High Court Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Legal Advisor to the Governor Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Additional Secretary Reena Joshi, along with senior judges, senior officials and other distinguished guests.
