Dehradun, 31 Jan: Kasiga School celebrated its Graduation Day today in the school foyer, honouring the Class of 2026 from the CBSE (Class XII) and CAIE (A Level) streams. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of academic dedication and personal growth in an atmosphere of pride, tradition, and reflection.
The event commenced with a warm welcome to the Chairman, Management, Head of School (HOS), and distinguished guests, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The HOS formally welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest, Sahana Majumdar, a distinguished educator whose career in education spans over 35 years of dedicated service, leadership, and innovation.
A defining moment of the ceremony was the symbolic Passing of the Light, accompanied by a soulful musical performance, representing the transmission of values, responsibility, and knowledge to the next generation. The school Head Boy and Head Girl delivered heartfelt addresses—sharing their memories, gratitude, and aspirations. The school choir added emotional resonance with a moving rendition of the school song.
Graduating students were honoured during the memento ceremony, receiving personalised souvenirs in recognition of their achievements. The Chief Guest then addressed the graduates and guests, asserting the values of knowledge, strength and compassion should be used with good judgement and courage. She was also felicitated with a token of appreciation by the Chairman.
Valedictorian certificates were presented by the Chairman to outstanding students for exemplary academic and co-curricular performance. In the concluding address, the Chairman reflected on Kasiga School’s commitment to holistic education and extended best wishes to the graduating cohort as they embark on new journeys.
Post-ceremony, the graduating batch posed for a group photograph with the Management and Chief Guest, followed by a high tea for dignitaries.
