Mussoorie, 13 Mar: The wedding rituals for the Indian cricket team’s star ‘Chinaman’ spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, have commenced with great enthusiasm in a traditional atmosphere here. A grand ceremony featuring the Mehndi and Haldi rituals was hosted at Mussoorie’s historic ‘Welcome The Savoy Hotel’, here, today. Amidst vibrant decorations, the melodies of local ‘Pahari’ folk songs and Bollywood hits, and the high spirits of the guests, the entire venue appeared immersed in the festive spirit of the wedding celebrations. The main wedding ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, during which Kuldeep Yadav will tie the knot with his childhood friend, Vanshika Chaddha.The Mehndi ceremony, held on Friday, was marked by an atmosphere of pure joy, attended by the families and close relatives of both the bride and groom. Vanshika Chaddha looked stunning in her traditional attire. Her hands, adorned with intricate Mehndi designs, featured beautiful artistic patterns incorporating the initials of both Kuldeep and Vanshika.Throughout the event, family members and guests were seen dancing energetically to the tunes of Pahari folk songs and popular Bollywood tracks. Members from both the groom’s and the bride’s sides came together to make the ceremony truly memorable through their collective singing and dancing.Several prominent figures from the Indian cricketing fraternity have started arriving in Mussoorie to attend Kuldeep Yadav’s wedding. Indian team’s fielding coach T Dilip was among the first to arrive and join the festivities. He was soon followed by the Indian team’s young batsman, Rinku Singh, who arrived in Mussoorie accompanied by his fiancée, MP Priya Saroj.Yuzvendra Chahal—who formed a formidable spin partnership with Kuldeep Yadav for the Indian team over a long period—also joined the celebrations. During the Mehndi ceremony, Chahal had a great time dancing and interacting with the family members and guests. The duo of Kuldeep and Chahal is affectionately known in the cricketing world as ‘KulCha,’ a pair that has contributed significantly to numerous memorable victories for the Indian team.
According to sources, several stalwarts of the Indian cricket team are expected to attend the main wedding ceremony scheduled for Saturday. Prominent names currently being discussed include Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, and Team India’s Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir. Additionally, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj is also expected to arrive in Mussoorie.Reports suggest that, alongside the cricketing fraternity, several prominent figures from the worlds of Bollywood and politics may also grace the occasion.For the wedding festivities, Mussoorie’s prestigious Hotel Savoy has been specially adorned with flowers, lighting, and traditional decorations.
