
Graphic Era felicitates Minal Negi 66th rank-holder in Civil Services exam

DEHRADUN,14 Mar: Minal Negi, the daughter of Dehradun who secured 66th rank in the Civil Services Examination of UPSC in the country, said that the real mantra to success in scuh a difficult examination, is studying every day and learning something new. Minal Negi, who had been a student of BSc Honours Physics at Graphic Era Hill University, was addressing the felicitation ceremony at Graphic Era today.
In this ceremony held at Graphic Era’s Silver Jubilee Convention, Minal Negi said that this journey is not only about reaching the goal, but also about the process of making oneself better. One should not only be impressed by the shine of success but should also develop attachment to hard work and continuous efforts, which open the path to reach there. When hard work becomes a habit, success walks its way to the aspirant.
Sharing her experiences during her studies at Graphic Era Hill University, Minal said that the three years spent at Graphic Era were very eventful in her life. For the first time she got the opportunity to come on stage and anchor a programme here, which increased her confidence. After this she got opportunities to anchor many programmes. Here she got the chance to host the programme of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers and then she was made the Student Ambassador of this important association.
She said that to achieve success in the UPSC examination it is very important to understand what need not be studied. Today so much material is available on the Internet that the material has become as vast as an ocean. In such a situation it is very necessary to be cautious. First the basics of the subjects should be cleared. She first read the NCERT books from class 8 to 12 and got a grip of the basics well. Along with studies it is also very important to take care of mental health and to exercise. Good hobbies should also be there. Minal said that Graphic Era and the environment here worked to strengthen her foundation and give exposure. Mentioning her teachers she said that she feels very happy to receive respect among them today. Minal Negi also answered the questions of the students and also suggested the path for civil services and inspired them.
At Graphic Era, Minal Negi and her mother Geeta Negi were felicitated. Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions Dr Kamal Ghanshala and Vice Chairperson Dr Rakhi Ghanshala presented them with a trophy and a memento. On this occasion Chairman Dr Kamal Ghanshala said that this remarkable success of Minal has brought pride not only to Graphic Era but to the entire Uttarakhand. Calling the support and trust of her parents important behind this success, he said that family gives the greatest strength to any young person to reach their goal.
Dr Ghanshala said that the success of Minal Negi will encourage students to come into civil services. Graphic Era has decided to provide free coaching and other facilities to students preparing for civil services. Minal Negi and some other persons who have succeeded in this examination and retired officers will be able to guide the students for this.
Minal Negi was very happy on reaching her university. She also narrated many incidents of college life. Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr Amit R Bhatt and Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dr Narpinder Singh along with other officials of the university welcomed Minal Negi with flowers.
