Mandaan brings joyful end to Film Festival


my uttarakhand news BureauDehradun, 15 Oct: The third and final day of Himpravah concluded with the vibrant celebration of Mandaan. The evening came alive with the colours and rhythms of Uttarakhand’s traditional folk dances and Jagar performances, filling the atmosphere with cultural energy and enthusiasm.
Earlier, Joint CEO of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Nitin Upadhyay, who attended the event as the Chief Guest, said that programs like Himpravah play an important role in reviving Uttarakhand’s film industry and single-screen cinema culture. He added that such initiatives help connect people with their cultural roots and history while promoting the rich art and traditions of the state.
Himpravah was jointly organised by the Graphic Era Hill University’s Department of Media and Mass Communication and the Uttarakhand Film Development Council. The event saw active participation from Coordinator Vipul Tiwari, along with Mayank Jhinkwan, Mohit Negi, Ashmita, and several other faculty members and students, who together made the festival a memorable success.
