‘Manor Fest 2026 – Inter-House Cultural Extravaganza’ begins at St George’s College

Mussoorie, 2 May: The Opening Ceremony of Manor Fest 2026, the annual Inter-House Cultural Extravaganza of St George’s College, was held with enthusiasm, here, today. The Chief Guest Rahul Anand, SDM, Mussoorie, was accorded a warm and gracious welcome. He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Amisha Anand.
The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with a prayer service, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the administration of the pledge to the House Captains — Utsav Pathak, Dhruv Raj, Tanishk Dev Nagta, and Aarya Bikram Rana — to uphold the true spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie.
Deepali Ballabh, the School Cultural Coordinator, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the importance of cultural activities in nurturing creativity, confidence and holistic development among students.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the official logo of Manor Fest 2026 by the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Rahul Anand lauded the school management for providing students with a vibrant and enriching platform to nurture and showcase their talents across diverse cultural and creative domains. He also expressed his gratitude to the school for its warm hospitality and gracious invitation.
The events scheduled for the first day of the two-day fest included Indian Group Singing, Western Group Singing, Band Performance, Photography, Quiz, Western Solo Singing, Dumb Charades, Indian Solo Singing and the Spell Bee Competition.
The judges for the Western Group and Solo Singing, Indian Group and Solo Singing and Band categories were Irfan Sheikh, Amos Devassy, Himanshu Grover and Pratibha Dwivedi Shah. The Photography and Ad-Bag (Videography) events were judged by Tejasvi Kumar, Gaurav Kumar and Nikhil Rana.
Certificates of Merit were awarded to participants across various categories in recognition of their exceptional performances, creativity and dedication.
The Opening Ceremony of Manor Fest 2026 was conducted successfully under the guidance and supervision of Brother Jeyaseelan S (Principal), Brother Sylvanus Kerketta (Vice-Principal), Brother Britto (Community Leader), Deepali Ballabh (Cultural Coordinator), Bhavnesh Negi, along with the House Masters and House Mistresses of all four Houses.
