Dehradun, 5 Jan: Under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign, a large multipurpose public service camp was held today at the Panjitilani Mini Stadium in the Kalsi development block. At the camp, hearing of public grievances and their redressal continued till late evening today. The camp was presided over by Minister-in-Charge of Dehradun district Subodh Uniyal and was aimed at delivering the benefits of government welfare schemes directly to the people while ensuring time-bound resolution of public grievances.
On the occasion, Subodh Uniyal, along with District Magistrate Savin Bansal, inspected the departmental stalls set up at the venue and released the Vikas Pustika-2025 published by the Dehradun District Information Office. A total of 1,286 people benefitted from the various services and schemes extended through the camp.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Uniyal said the Chief Minister is committed to ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every citizen in a transparent, simple and timely manner, so that no individual is deprived of basic facilities. He said the government is working with the spirit of Antyodaya, with special focus on providing essential amenities in remote rural areas and ensuring speedy disposal of public grievances. The Minister directed the officials to resolve issues strictly within stipulated timelines and warned that unnecessary pendency at any level would not be tolerated. DM Savin Bansal assured the public that all grievances would be addressed on priority and that effective follow-up action would be ensured in each case.
During the camp, 178 grievances were submitted by the villagers, senior citizens, women and the local representatives. Uniyal heard each complaint seriously and issued on-the-spot instructions to concerned departmental officials for prompt redressal. Under various welfare schemes, power weeders were distributed to Ajju Tomar and Inder Singh, a chaff cutter was provided to Sunil Tomar, and a flour mill was given to Sunil under an 80 per cent subsidy scheme.
Residents from Panjitilani, Salga, Khamroli, Chibau, Tibau, Malau, Chandau, Khoi, Suyau and Jisau Gharana raised issues related to the roads, drinking water, forests, education, electricity, solar lights, financial assistance and compensation. Taking note of complaints regarding the use of substandard material and the poor condition of the Khamroli–Chibau motor road, the Minister directed the officials to conduct an inquiry and resolve the complaints. In cases of long-pending compensation for agricultural land and fruit-bearing trees acquired for the Kotha Bend–Panjian and Khamroli motor roads since 2008, the PWD officials were instructed to carry out a joint inspection and ensure payment under one-time maintenance provisions. A demand was also made for construction of a new road from Khamroli to Tirachhani and metalling of the Panjitilani Mini Stadium link road. PMGSY officials informed that the tender process for the Doyra–Deu motor road has been completed and construction will begin shortly.
Uniyal directed the departments concerned to act on the demands for construction of a community hall in Jisau-Gharana under the ACP scheme and installation of solar lights near the Chalda Maharaj temple. Addressing the drinking water crisis in Bohri and Khamroli villages, Jal Sansthan was instructed to immediately install a solar pump motor and to take action against illegal connections and leakages. On health-related issues, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was directed to address the shortage of doctors and ambulances at Primary Health Centres in Koti and Panjitilani. The Minister also ordered priority repairs to the dilapidated building of Primary School Kharaya and directed the DM to investigate complaints regarding absenteeism of teachers in the Panjitilani area.
Regarding electricity issues in hamlets near Naraya, Boa and Kauthi, the villagers were urged to submit applications for new connections, while the Electricity Department was directed to ensure immediate supply. Health services were also provided during the camp, with 248 patients treated under Allopathy, 231 under Homeopathy and 65 under Ayurveda, along with free distribution of medicines. In addition, 57 Aadhaar updates, 18 disability certificates, 18 tuberculosis screenings and 50 Ayushman cards were processed on the spot.
The Animal Husbandry Department distributed medicines to 98 livestock owners, while the Revenue Department issued 48 Khata Khatoni records along with several other certificates. Equipment and seeds were provided to 187 farmers by the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments. Under the Vayoshri scheme, 75 senior citizens were given 310 assistive devices, and social pensions for eight individuals were approved online. The Food Supply Department completed 42 KYC updates and registered 21 new units. Several other departments, including Dairy, Child Development, Tourism and Education, also extended benefits to a large number of residents.
Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, Kuldeep Kumar, Amar Singh Chauhan, SDM Prem Lal, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr MK Sharma were among those present on the occasion.
