Dehradun, 12 Jan: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today inaugurated a multi-purpose camp organised at Buranskhanda in the Mussoorie Assembly constituency under the campaign “Government for Every Citizen, at Every Citizen’s Doorstep – Administration towards the Villages.” On this occasion, the Minister inspected stalls set up by 29 departments participating in the camp.
During the camp, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi distributed Mahalakshmi Yojana benefits and Kishori Kits to beneficiaries of the Women Welfare Department, while beneficiaries of the Horticulture Department were provided free seeds. The Minister stated that the government’s intent is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
The Minister heard 48 complaints and public issues raised during the camp. Of these, 17 issues were resolved on the spot, while officials were given time-bound instructions for the prompt resolution of the remaining cases. Expressing displeasure over the absence of competent officers from some departments, the Minister directed the SDM to deduct one day’s salary. He also mentioned that due to network connectivity issues, difficulties were faced in resolving some cases. He instructed officials to organise another multi-purpose camp on January 16 at Suwakholi so that more citizens could benefit.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the state government is fulfilling its resolve of “Government at the Doorstep of the People” by reaching citizens directly at the Nyaya Panchayat level to address their problems. On public demand, he also announced the construction of a community building in Chalchala village and the establishment of a mobile horticulture unit centre in Buranskhanda.
The Minister said that the “Government for Every Citizen, At Every Citizen’s Doorstep” campaign is acting as a vital bridge between the administration and the public, and has become a strong medium for good governance, sensitivity, and speedy resolution of issues in the state. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, stating that the government is committed to ensuring that no citizen is deprived of schemes and services, and that work related to service, good governance, and development is being carried out continuously with public trust.
On this occasion, Dr Devendra Bhasin, Municipal Council Chairperson Meera Saklani, District Panchayat Member Veer Singh Chauhan, SDM Rahul Anand, Gram Pradhan Usha Devi, along with Anuj Kaushal, Sunder Singh Payal, Puran Kohli, Brahm Datt Joshi, Mohan Singh Negi, Ram Singh, Govind Singh Rana, and many others were also present.
