Dehradun, 31 Dec: Under the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” campaign inspired by the public service commitment of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Dehradun district administration organised a multipurpose camp at the Chakrata Block Headquarters today. The camp successfully extended the benefits of various government schemes to 1,009 villagers. On this occasion, SDM Premlal conducted a public hearing, personally listening to the grievances of the participants. Many problems were resolved on the spot.
During the camp, villagers, senior citizens, women and the local public representatives presented 15 problems related to their respective areas. These included three complaints regarding the Public Works Department, two each for Child Development and Rural Development, and one each pertaining to Education, Electricity, Minor Irrigation, Revenue, Irrigation, PMGSY, Drinking Water, and Tourism. The SDM heard all grievances sequentially and ensured the disposal of seven cases on the site, while necessary instructions were issued to the concerned departments for the time-bound resolution of the remaining eight complaints. Throughout the event, villagers were sensitised about various public welfare schemes, with a total of 1,009 eligible individuals receiving benefits under different categories.
The Health Department provided medical check-ups and distributed free medicines to 299 people in Allopathy, 76 in Homeopathy, and 60 in Ayurveda. The Animal Husbandry Department supplied veterinary medicines to 102 farmers, while the Revenue Department issued 60 certificates related to the income, status, character and PM-Kisan. The Agriculture Department benefited 144 farmers and the Horticulture Department assisted 71 farmers with agricultural implements, seeds, and PM-Kisan Nidhi benefits. The Social Welfare Department sanctioned Old Age, Widow and Disability pensions for 22 eligible persons and the District Supply Department completed KYC formalities for 42 ration cardholders. The Panchayati Raj Department settled 55 cases related to pensions and family registers. Additionally, the Dairy Department benefited 11 people, Child Development 21, NRLM five, Labour Department 20, and the Drinking Water Department 15 beneficiaries. The Employment Department also provided career counselling to six students.
Among those present on the occasion were Tehsildar Roop Singh, Block Development Officer Rakesh Bisht, along with officers from various departments, Gram Pradhans, and a large number of local residents.
