Attractive offers, cultural programmes, and the taste of local delicacies are making this year’s New Year celebrations even more special.Sanjay Agarwal, President of the Mussoorie Hotel Association, said that about 70 percent of bookings in Mussoorie have already been made for the New Year, and it is expected that Mussoorie will be completely packed by 31 December. He said that special arrangements have been made for tourists in all hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, and homestays. This time, the special thing is that tourists will also get to taste local traditional Pahari delicacies, which will give them an opportunity to experience the culture of Uttarakhand.

He praised the police and local administration, saying that arrangements have been made to manage the large crowds expected on New Year’s Eve. Although parking remains a major problem in Mussoorie and traffic jams are common, the administration and police are constantly trying to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent any inconvenience to tourists.Jagjit Kukreja, General Secretary of the Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association, said that Mussoorie has been decorated like a bride for the New Year celebrations. The markets are bustling, and shopkeepers have also decorated their shops in a special way. The entire city looks vibrant with the decorations done by the municipality and the administration. He expressed confidence that this year’s New Year celebrations will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and joy, and tourists will return with memorable moments.Regarding security arrangements, the Mussoorie police are also on high alert. According to the police, additional police forces have been deployed in view of the New Year celebrations. Police personnel will be stationed at every intersection. Alternate routes will be used to manage traffic and prevent congestion. The police have made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules or create disturbances. Mussoorie is fully prepared to welcome the New Year with its natural beauty, vibrant markets, local delicacies, attractive packages, and tight security arrangements.
