Nainital High Court reviews reservation roster, permits rural polls – myuttarakhandnews.com | Uttarakhand News in English | Dehradun News Today| News Uttarakhand | Uttarakhand latest news

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Nainital Lifting its earlier stay on the three-tier Panchayat polls due to a reservation row on June 23, the Nainital High Court permitted continuation of the process after reviweing the reservation roster and other documents presented by the State government. The division bench of the Chief Justice, G Narendra and Justice Alok Mehra agreed to withdraw the stay on the rural poll process. After hearing the arguments of the both parties involved, the court ordered the withdrawal of the stay for the time being, saying that the election process could presently move forward.
