Monday, 08 JULY 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN While resuming the hearing on a slew of pleas pertaining to the alleged NEET UG malpractice, the Supreme Court of India said that in case it is found that integrity of the NEET-UG 2024 medical entrance exam is compromised with its question paper leaked through social media platforms, the option of re-test must be considered. SC directs National Testing Agency (NTA) to make full disclosure in this matter. A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra however made it clear that conducting re-test is the last option. Earlier, the Central government and the NTA which conducts NEET-UG pleaded to the apex court against scrapping the exam and going for re-test as it would seriously jeopardise lakhs of honest candidates without proof of large-scale breach of confidentiality. The SC posted the case for next hearing on July 11.
