PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Bharadisain Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that one mini stadium will be constructed in every development block of the State. He said that a provision in this regard has been made in the budget 2026-27. There are 95 development blocks in the State. The CM said this while responding to a question of Doiwala MLA Brijbhushan Gairola in the Vidhan Sabha on the third day of the budget session of the Assembly on Wednesday. The Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya said that the Sports department has constructed 30 stadiums and the Youth Welfare department has constructed 102 mini stadiums in the State. She said that construction of stadiums, mini stadiums and sports grounds are being constructed in the mountainous areas as per the availability of the resources. Responding to a question of BJP MLA Suresh Gadia, the Sports minister informed that the department is working on the plan to create posts for providing government jobs to the medal winners of the 38th National Games. She said that 103 medals were won by the players of Uttarakhand in the 38th National Games. Arya stated that a very good sports infrastructure was developed in the State for the 38th National Games. She said that the State government has prepared a sports legacy policy under which the infrastructure developed for the National Games will be used to provide training to the budding sportspersons and athletes. Responding to a question by the Salt MLA Mahesh Jeena, the minister said 77,976 families formerly under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) have been converted to Prathmik Parivar (PPY) while 1,45,612 families were converted from PPY to the State Food Scheme (SFS) . Under the AAY families earning less than Rs 4,000 per month are covered while families having monthly income less than Rs 15,000 per month are covered under PPY. Similarly families having an annual income of less than Rs five lakh are covered under SFS.
