Outsiders purchasing property in U’khand to submit declaration Friday, 21 June 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN In an important initiative the Uttarakhand government has decided that outsiders purchasing property in the State will have to submit a written declaration to the administration about the purpose of the purchase of land by them. An order regarding this was given by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a high level meeting at his residence on Thursday. In the meeting, the CM directed the officers that they should ensure the compliance of law and order in the State. He said that verification of people residing in Uttarakhand should be done. Dhami said that outsiders purchasing land in the State should provide details of their criminal record in the declaration. On a stern note, the CM said that the people with criminal record should be identified and strict action should be taken against them. He warned that those responsible for deteriorating law and order situation in the State will not be spared.  Dhami directed the chief secretary that regular review meetings for resolving complaints regarding forest fires, drinking water and electricity should be done. He said that effective measures should be taken to resolve the complaints of the people. In the meeting the CM directed the officers to make preparations for disaster management and Kanwad Yatra management. He directed that the senior officers of the administration should remain in regular contact with the district magistrates and provide necessary help immediately.  The CM directed that the beneficiaries of different social welfare schemes of the government should get their payments through the DBT without delay and for this the departments of Finance and Information Technology should take necessary measures. The CM also directed that campaigns of water conservation and tree plantation should be undertaken on a large scale and people should be made aware. The chief secretary Radha Raturi, officiating DGP Abhinav Kumar, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Dilip Jawalkar, Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, ADG AP Anshuman and others attended the meeting.
