Dehradun, 4 Feb: All schools in the state will mandatorily participate in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme. This special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be broadcast digitally in all schools, where students from Class 6 onwards, along with parents and teachers, will participate. Necessary instructions regarding preparations for the programme have been issued to departmental officers.
School Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that, as in previous years, the Prime Minister’s flagship initiative ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ will be organised on a large scale in schools across the state this year as well. Instructions have been given to departmental officers to ensure participation of all schools in this special programme. He said that on 6 February, at 10 a.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact directly with students, parents and teachers from across the country through the 9th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. Through this programme, the Prime Minister will not only share mantras for stress-free examinations but will also provide practical guidance to help students overcome challenges, maintain balance and build self-confidence.
Dr Rawat further stated that the broadcast of this edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ will be mandatory in all schools of the state. Accordingly, Chief Education Officers of all districts have been directed to complete all arrangements for the broadcast in schools under their respective jurisdictions, so that students from Class 6 to Class 12, along with parents and teachers, can watch and listen to the Prime Minister’s interaction. Dr Rawat also instructed officials to ensure that the programme is accessible not only via television but also through EDUSAT and internet-enabled devices.
8 lakh students, parents and teachers registered
School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat informed that more than 8 lakh students, parents and teachers from across the state have registered in record numbers for the 9th edition of the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme. Of these, over 7 lakh 37 thousand students have registered from various districts. In addition, 53,149 teachers and 14,512 parents have also registered for the programme.
