PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the people of the nation and Uttarakhand have repeatedly chosen the Bharatiya Janata Party under Prime Minister Narendra Modi which shows that the people do not believe in lies, rumours and hollow promises. He was speaking at an event held on Tuesday as part of the party’s organisational training programme in the State a few days after the first meeting of the State core committee following the organisation’s revamp in the State. Dhami claimed that the people of Uttarakhand are wise and have a unique capacity to decide. The people believe in work and are influenced by positive changes. Stating that all works are being done properly with collective cooperation, he said that the party needs to focus on how to communicate this to the public. “Appointments were made to more than 42,000 government jobs in the State during the past 25 years out of which 28,000 jobs were provided during the past four years due to the impact of the anti-copying law. The BJP doesn’t work with only the electoral aims but tries to guide the society,” the CM said. Informing further about the training event, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that speaking on the occasion, the regional in-charge of the campaign, Amarpal said that like Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to take the nation forward with the involvement, trust and development of all, the party should also work internally on the same lines. Addressing the gathering, the BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt exhorted all party members to imbibe the fact that the BJP is a political organisation which works for social concerns. Such training programmes help the party develop capable, skilled, sensitive and aware workers who work more to win the trust of the public rather than focusing just on winning votes, Bhatt said. The BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar informed the gathering in detail about the campaign stating that the training workshop for Kumaon will be held on February 24 while the workshop for Garhwal will be held on February 26.
