Preparations complete for MPG College Students’ Union Election

Mussoorie, 28 Sep: The college administration and the election committee have finalized preparations for the MPG College student union election. Voting will take place on Tuesday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Vote counting will commence at 3 p.m. Following the declaration of results, the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected student union office bearers will also be held on the same day. It was clarified that no student would be allowed entry into the college campus or permitted to vote without an identity card. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to cast a fake vote or vote illegally. Additional police forces have been deployed by the Mussoorie police to ensure security during the election; PAC personnel will also be available alongside the police. Mussoorie SDM Rahul Anand will personally monitor the election process, while the college administration is receiving full support from the police and district administration.Dr. Pawar appealed to the students to participate in the democratic process while maintaining discipline and to refrain from causing any disorder or attempting to cast fake votes. He stated that the administration’s objective is to conduct the election peacefully and provide students with the opportunity for fair voting.
