
PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed officials to complete the preparations in a timely manner for the successful organisation of the proposed mega grounding ceremony of industrial projects at Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district. Grounding work of projects worth Rs one lakh crore will be officially announced at the event. The CM gave the order while chairing a high level meeting of the officers at his residence on Thursday. He said that the programme should be organised in a grand and impressive form so that the industrial progress of the State gets new momentum and identity. The CM said that Union Home and Cooperation minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest of the programme. He said that the mega grounding ceremony will give a new direction to the future of industries in the State and will provide ample employment opportunities to the youth of Uttarakhand. He said that during the Global Investors Summit held in the year 2023, the State government had received investment proposals worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore and out of them projects worth Rs one lakh crore have so far been grounded, which shows the confidence of investors towards the industrial development of Uttarakhand. The chief minister further said that the event at Rudrapur will encourage local entrepreneurship and open new doors for the economic prosperity of the State. In the meeting the CM also directed the officials to ensure that all arrangements related to the event are made with alertness and coordination, so that the positive image of the state and the investment-friendly environment can be strongly presented before the country and the world. Principal secretaries RK Sudhanshu, R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, additional director general of police AP Anshuman, special secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate, additional secretary Banshidhar Tiwari and managing director of Industries Saurabh Gaharwar attended the meeting.
